Public Education
Public schools are the heartbeat of our communities and the foundation of our democracy. Every child deserves a high-quality education — regardless of zip code or family income.
That promise is under threat. Extremist groups are working to drain funding from local classrooms, take over school boards, and dismantle the public system from within. WAVE is committed to protecting public schools by partnering with local organizations to amplify our collective impact and educating communities in ways they can protect their neighborhood schools.

How you can help:
- Show up locally: Pack your local school board meetings, support our teachers, and speak out against toxic agendas.
- Get out the vote: Volunteer with WAVE to reach voters and turn out support for pro-public-education candidates
- Talk to your neighbors and friends: Share the facts, push back on harmful rhetoric, and make sure your community knows what is on the line.
- Join your local pro-public school group: These groups work on building community support for neighborhoods schools, help make sense of school board agendas, and advocate together on the issues affecting students and families.
