Public Education
One of our 2023 goals is to more vigorously support public education. In 2022, extremist conservative groups targeted public school boards, attempting to make them a battleground in a political and culture war. WAVE is committed to protecting public schools to ensure that all students have access to a high quality education. We will partner with existing groups to maximize and amplify our collective impact. In the last elections, WAVE endorsed numerous candidates running for school boards and were pleased that the vast majority of them won their races. We will continue to support and campaign for candidates that share our values with regard to public education.
