Katie Porter represents California’s 45th district in the House of Representatives. As a single mother, she is all too familiar with the challenges of balancing family and a career, the demands on working families, and the pressures of performing in a male-dominated world. As a Congresswoman, Rep. Porter has consistently voted for bills that aim to lift up women, children and families. Her record on voting for equal rights, affordable healthcare, childcare protection, housing, anti-discrimination in the workplace, and the environment, proves how she advances progressive American values and ethics in Washington.
